Gukesh seals career-high ranking, Pragg returns to top 10

GM Gukesh Dommaraju has climbed to world number three in the latest FIDE rankings after an impressive performance at the Tata Steel Chess Masters 2025. GM Praggnanandhaa Rameshbabu reentered the top-10 by winning the Tata Steel title. GM Magnus Carlsen remains number-one, while GM Hikaru Nakamura is now second. Significant shifts occurred in the women’s rankings as well.
