Deschamps to step down as France manager after 2026 WC

France football manager Didier Deschamps will leave his role after the 2026 World Cup when his contract ends. Deschamps, who led France to victory in the 2018 World Cup and was a winner as a player in 1998, intends to announce his decision on French television on Wednesday.
