Zelenskyy urges action against ‘evil’, on Auschwitz anniversary

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, marking the 80th anniversary of Auschwitz’s liberation, urged global unity against evil, warning against growing holocaust forgetfulness. He highlighted Russia’s invasion as reviving WWII-era horrors, impacting all Ukrainians, including Jewish communities in cities like Dnipro and Odesa. Ukraine’s jewish population, already decimated by the Holocaust and past anti-Semitic pogroms, faces renewed terror. Zelenskyy emphasized preventing hatred and ensuring evil does not prevail.
